National Quilt Museum offers free admission to military families through Labor Day

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The National Quilt Museum is offering free admission to active-duty military members and their families through Labor Day as part of the nationwide Blue Star Museums program.
The program, which runs through Sept. 7, is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and museums across the country.
The free admission program is available to currently serving members of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves, as well as the U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps and NOAA Commissioned Corps. Eligible service members may bring up to five family members.
Visitors must present a qualifying military identification card for admission.
The National Quilt Museum, located at 215 Jefferson St. in Paducah, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Complimentary parking is available onsite.
The museum was designated by Congress as the national quilt museum in 2008 and features contemporary quilt exhibits and educational programming from artists around the world.
