POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) – The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center is asking for the public’s help locating veterans and family members connected to its Wall of Valor displays in Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau.

The medical center announced its Wall of Valor exhibits at both facilities have transitioned to electronic displays, leaving staff searching for honorees and next of kin to return framed photographs and written tributes.

Officials said they have been unable to locate several veterans or their families, including Carl Robuck, Theodore Sawyers and Leonard Shelton. More names are expected to be released in the future.

Anyone who knows the veterans, their relatives, or is connected to the honorees is asked to contact the CDCE office in Poplar Bluff at 573-778-4276 or by email at VAHPOPVoluntary-W@va.gov.

The Wall of Valor recognizes veterans who earned awards for valor while serving in combat against an enemy. Those interested in nominating a veteran or learning more about the program can contact the CDCE office for additional information.
