Cape Girardeau police investigate afternoon shots fired incident

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Police responded Tuesday afternoon after reports of shots fired near the intersection of William Street and South Ellis Street in Cape Girardeau.
According to authorities, the call came in around 3:20 p.m. Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the area to investigate.
The investigation remains ongoing.
