Route 162 closure planned for June 9 in New Madrid County

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) — A portion of Route 162 in New Madrid County will close Tuesday, June 9, as construction crews replace a culvert beneath the roadway.

The closure will affect Route 162 from County Road 417 to Route TT near Portageville.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs and urges motorists to use caution while traveling through the area.
