CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) —Westbound Route 60 in Carter County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as construction crews perform shoulder repairs.  

This section of roadway is located near County Road 371.  

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 15 through Wednesday, June 17 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. 

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area. 

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to temporarily close the southbound Interstate 69 off-ramp at Exit 25 (U.S. 45) at Mayfield, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, June 5, weather permitting.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to mill and pave the southbound Exit 25 off-ramp, which is near I-69 mile point 24.9.

Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.

The ramp is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Friday.
