Greater St. Louis Area Scouting names Chance Z. as new field director

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Greater St. Louis Area Scouting has named Chance Z. as its new field director.

Chance previously served four years as senior district executive for the Shawnee District. During his tenure, the district achieved four consecutive years of membership growth, increased unit leadership training participation from 35% to more than 60% and grew youth membership from 399 to 1,200 in three years.

A 23-year Scouting veteran, Chance is an Eagle Scout, a Vigil Honor member of Anpetu-We Lodge and a recipient of the Venturing Silver Award.

In his new role, Chance will focus on expanding access to Scouting through partnerships with schools and community organizations. He will also oversee staff and help guide program development.

Scouting officials said they are excited to see Chance continue serving youth and families in his new leadership position.
