PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — FEMA has determined that Perryville High School qualifies for replacement rather than repair under the Federal Public Assistance Grant Program tied to a major disaster declaration.

In a letter to the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and Perry County School District 32, FEMA approved the district’s request for a repair-versus-replacement determination for Perryville High School under disaster declaration FEMA-4867-DR-MO.

The decision was made in accordance with Section 406 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act and federal regulations governing public assistance projects.

FEMA officials said the agency is now developing estimated eligible costs associated with the project, identified as Project No. 1067576.

The request was submitted by Perry County School District 32 through the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency.

The determination was signed by Catherine R. Sanders, acting regional administrator for FEMA Region 7.
