EAST PRAIRIE, Mo., (KBSI) — An East Prairie High School student has been selected to serve as an ambassador for the Missouri Agribusiness Academy following a week-long leadership program hosted by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

Storey Hutchason, vice president of the East Prairie FFA chapter, was one of 30 Missouri sophomores chosen to participate in the Missouri Agribusiness Academy, a program designed to introduce students to careers and leadership opportunities in agriculture.

During the academy, participants traveled across the state, met industry leaders and learned about Missouri’s agricultural sector.

Hutchason was later elected by her fellow participants as one of two ambassadors for the Missouri Agribusiness Academy Class of 2027. In that role, she will return next year to help mentor and guide future academy participants.

East Prairie FFA officials praised Hutchason for her leadership and representation of the chapter, school and Missouri Bootheel region.
