Poplar Bluff Regional to host robotic joint replacement education event

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center will host a free educational event later this month highlighting advancements in robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery.
The Advanced Orthopedic Robot Event is scheduled for June 26 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Oak Grove Grill Classroom, located on the lower level of the hospital cafeteria.
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. S. Preston Jones will provide live demonstrations of robotic-assisted surgical technology and discuss treatment options for patients experiencing hip or knee pain. The presentation will begin at 12:15 p.m.
Hospital officials said attendees will learn how robotic-assisted procedures allow for personalized surgical planning, improved precision and potentially faster recovery times. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the joint replacement process.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required, and walk-ins are welcome.
