MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Marshall County Parks Department for a community “Play in the Park” event aimed at encouraging outdoor activity and strengthening relationships with local youth.

During the event, deputies spent time playing kickball and interacting with children from across the community.

Sheriff’s office officials said the program is designed to promote healthy activity during the summer months while providing opportunities for positive interactions between children and law enforcement officers.

Officials said events like “Play in the Park” allow deputies to connect with young people outside of emergency situations and demonstrate their commitment to serving and supporting the community.

The sheriff’s office thanked the Marshall County Parks Department for its partnership and the children who participated in the event.
