Fire damages Fredericktown home; no injuries reported

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo., (KBSI) — Firefighters responded to a residential fire Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of High Street in Fredericktown.
According to the Fredericktown Fire Department, crews were dispatched at approximately 4 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire conditions in a bedroom of the home.
All occupants safely evacuated before firefighters arrived, officials said.
Firefighters from the Fredericktown Fire Department and Cherokee Pass Fire Protection District quickly brought the fire under control. While the blaze was contained, the home sustained extensive smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported among residents or emergency responders.
The fire department thanked the Cherokee Pass Fire Protection District, Madison County Ambulance District, Madison County Sheriff Nic Adams, the Fredericktown Police Department and Madison County 911 for assisting at the scene.
