Indivisible SEMO plans protest during Republican event in Jackson

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — Indivisible SEMO is planning a protest Saturday outside the Jackson Civic Center during a Republican Party event.
According to organizers, the demonstration is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. June 13 at the Jackson Civic Center, 381 E. Deerwood Drive.
The group said participants will gather outside a public fish fry hosted by local Republicans to express opposition to policies associated with the MAGA movement and Republican leadership.
Organizers said the protest will be a peaceful assembly and encouraged attendees to bring signs.
The event is being promoted by Indivisible SEMO, a local political advocacy organization. Organizers said they plan to demonstrate on public property outside the event venue.
The event is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 p.m.
