Fundraiser dinner planned for Harrisburg police sergeant battling cancer

HARRISBURG, Ill., (KBSI) — A community fundraiser will be held July 12 to support Harrisburg Police Sgt. Mike Stover as he undergoes treatment for lung and liver cancer.

The spaghetti dinner will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elks Lodge No. 1058, located at 220 Vince Ashley Drive in Harrisburg.

The event will also feature a silent auction and gun raffle.

Meal tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and include spaghetti, bread, salad and a drink. Dine-in and carryout options will be available.

Organizers said proceeds will help Stover with medical expenses during his treatment.
