Boat stranded on rocks after engine trouble during lake wind advisory

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Emergency responders assisted boaters after a vessel experienced engine trouble and was pushed onto rocks by strong winds, according to the Marshall County Rescue Squad.

Officials said all occupants aboard the boat were safely rescued and no injuries were reported.

The rescue squad said the incident highlights the dangers posed by lake wind advisories.

Strong winds and waves repeatedly pushed the disabled boat into the rocks, causing significant damage. Authorities said the vessel may be a total loss.

Multiple agencies responded to assist with the incident.
