Leadership Cape explores economic development across Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Participants in Leadership Cape spent the day learning about the industries, infrastructure and organizations that help drive economic growth in the Cape Girardeau area.

The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce said the program’s “Developing Cape” session focused on construction, transportation, tourism, business expansion, infrastructure and future development opportunities throughout the region.

Participants toured and heard presentations from Columbia Construction & Casework, the SEMO Port Authority, Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, Visit Cape, Havco Wood Products, Inland Cape Rice Company, Delta Companies Inc. and Drury Southwest Inc.

The chamber also recognized session leaders Kristen Daniel, Jordan Janet and Karen Seabaugh for helping coordinate the event.

Leadership Cape is a program designed to educate and connect emerging and established leaders with key industries and issues affecting the Cape Girardeau community.
