Two Gilbertsville residents arrested on drug charges after search warrant

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Two Gilbertsville residents were arrested Friday on drug-related charges after deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Justin Lane, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies initially went to the residence to locate a man with an active warrant. While at the home, authorities said they observed illegal drugs in plain view.
Deputies and detectives then obtained and executed a search warrant, which led to the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana, according to investigators.
Michael J. Ellenberger, 50, of Gilbertsville, was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Trevor Ellenberger, 18, of Gilbertsville, was also arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Both were lodged in jail pending court proceedings.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
