Mayfield-Graves County to hold ceremonial burial for community time capsule

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — The Mayfield-Graves County Tourism Commission will host a ceremonial burial of the 2026 Mayfield-Graves County Time Capsule on Friday, July 3.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Edana Locus Wishing Well, located at 201 E. College St. in Mayfield.

Community members are invited to attend as local officials and tourism representatives commemorate the preservation of items and memories reflecting the community’s history and culture during America’s 250th anniversary year.

The ceremony is part of local celebrations tied to the nation’s semi-quincentennial observance.
