Foster, adoptive and kinship families invited to register for free backpack event

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — FosterAdopt Connect is accepting registrations for its Brighter Futures Backpack Event, which will provide free backpacks and school supplies to foster, adoptive and kinship families ahead of the new school year.

The event is scheduled for Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location will be announced at a later date.

Families must register by July 24 to participate. Supplies are limited and will be distributed while they last.

The annual event is designed to help children in foster, adoptive and kinship families prepare for a successful school year.
