MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – A 33-year-old Guntersville man remains in the Marshall County Jail after investigators said he picked up a 15-year-old girl without permission.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded during the late-night hours of April 11 after receiving a report that a 15-year-old Guntersville girl was missing from her home.
Investigators said the girl’s mother tracked her cellphone to the parking lot of a Guntersville restaurant, where she confronted the man. Authorities said he left the area before deputies arrived.
The suspect was later identified as Ismael Aristhene, 33, of Guntersville. Investigators said Aristhene picked up the juvenile without permission and left the residence with her. The sheriff’s office said the girl was not cooperative with deputies during the initial investigation.
During the course of the investigation, investigators were able to find additional evidence that Aristhene was actually involved in a sexual relationship with the child.
Aristhene remains in the Marshall County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
The investigation remains ongoing.
