JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The City of Jackson and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the completion of the city’s new gateway sign with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on East Main Street.

The “Welcome to Jackson” sign is part of the city’s Welcome and Wayfinding Signage Program, which was funded through the Missouri Division of Tourism’s Marketing Platform Development Grant Program.

City officials said the program is designed to help communities strengthen tourism marketing efforts and improve the visitor experience.

Located along one of Jackson’s primary entry corridors, the new sign features the cities recently adopted logo and branding and is intended to serve as both a welcoming landmark for visitors and a symbol of community pride.

“The new gateway sign is more than just a welcome marker,” Mayor Dwain Hahs said. “It represents the partnership, investment and vision that continue to move Jackson forward.”

City officials said the sign is intended to create a strong first impression for visitors while highlighting Jackson’s continued growth and development.
