Maintenance to temporarily close portions of Cape LaCroix Recreational Trail

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Portions of the Cape LaCroix Recreational Trail will temporarily close beginning Monday as the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department completes maintenance work.

The affected section of the trail stretches from the Lexington Avenue trail entrance off Kingsway to Walden Park.

City officials said crews will perform dirt work along the edges of the trail. Portions of the trail will be closed as work progresses to ensure the safety of trail users and maintenance crews.

Sections of the trail will reopen as work is completed. Officials apologized for any inconvenience and encouraged trail users to plan accordingly.
