Cape police warn of heavy traffic near 7 Brew on Kingshighway

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Police Department is advising motorists to avoid stopping in the roadway near 7 Brew because of heavy traffic congestion.

Police said traffic is backing up near the coffee shop at 17 N. Kingshighway, creating safety concerns for drivers.

Officials are asking customers not to stop or park in the roadway while waiting to enter the business. If the drive-thru line extends into the street, drivers are encouraged to continue driving and return later when traffic has eased.

According to the department, blocking or obstructing traffic is a violation of Cape Girardeau City Ordinance 26-301, and officers may take enforcement action if necessary to keep traffic moving safely.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and allow extra travel time.
