Franklin County sheriff warns drivers about hazards at rural intersections

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is urging drivers to use caution at rural intersections where tall corn may block their view.

Drivers should reduce their speed when approaching intersections, look carefully for oncoming vehicles and be prepared for unexpected traffic.

Sheriff Kyle Bacon encouraged motorists to take a few extra seconds to ensure it is safe before entering or crossing rural roads.
