Woodlands Nature Station to host 30th annual Hummingbird Festival

GOLDEN POND, Ky., (KBSI) — The Woodlands Nature Station will host its 30th annual Hummingbird Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2.

The festival at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area will feature programs about hummingbirds, butterflies, native plants and pollinators.

Saturday’s schedule includes:

  • 10:30 a.m. — Hummingbird Photo Contest Awards
  • 11:30 a.m. — Butterfly Bingo
  • 12:30 p.m. — Hummingbirds 101
  • 2 p.m. — Gardening with Native Plants
  • 3 p.m. — How to Attract and Support Pollinators
  • 4 p.m. — Hummingbird History

Admission is $9 for visitors ages 16 and older and $7 for children. Children ages 4 and younger will be admitted free.
