SEMO hires Billy Wurch as baseball strength and conditioning coach

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State University has hired Billy Wurch as its baseball strength and conditioning coach.

Wurch joins SEMO after serving as a graduate assistant sports performance coach at Arizona State University. He designed and led the strength and conditioning program for the university’s ice hockey team.

Wurch also served as a secondary strength coach for Arizona State baseball, overseeing weight training and conditioning sessions for pitchers and players who did not travel with the team.

He earned a master’s degree in strength and conditioning from Arizona State.

Wurch previously played baseball at Butler University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in human movement and health sciences. He also worked as a strength and conditioning intern, developing performance training programs for Butler’s freshman football players.
