MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A person stranded about 40 feet above the ground in a bucket truck was rescued without injury, according to the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency.
Emergency crews were called after the truck’s ground controls and emergency bypasses failed, leaving the person stuck in the raised bucket.
A Benton Fire Department ladder truck was unavailable, and officials considered deploying a technical rope rescue team.
Benton Electric responded with another bucket truck and safely lowered the person to the ground. No injuries were reported.
