Four arrested after drugs, firearms found during Marshall County traffic stop

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Four Georgia residents face drug charges after deputies allegedly found suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and multiple firearms during a traffic stop in Marshall County.

Deputies stopped a Ford pickup truck towing a side-by-side around 9:19 p.m. Aug. 2 near Vanzora Lane and Brewers Highway.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office said the truck had been traveling in the middle of Vanzora Lane and nearly struck a patrol vehicle head-on.

A sheriff’s office K-9 alerted to the possible presence of narcotics during an open-air sniff. Deputies then searched the truck and reported finding suspected drugs, paraphernalia, digital scales, cash believed to be drug proceeds and several firearms within reach of the occupants.

The following people were arrested:

Matthew T. Davis, 48
Darlyn P. Allen, 45
Joshua V. Terza, 46
Sarah R. Bross-West, 24

All four were charged with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, first-degree trafficking in carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives, first-degree cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Allen and Terza were also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Deputies said both had prior felony convictions prohibiting them from possessing firearms.

All four were taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.

The charges are accusations. The defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
