Bootheel Rodeo fundraiser turns high-scoring rides into meals

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — High-scoring rides at this week’s Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo will help provide meals to families across Southeast Missouri.

Through the Spur Hunger fundraiser, the Sikeston Jaycees will donate $80 to the Southeast Missouri Food Bank for every ride scoring at least 80 points. A ride scoring 90 points or higher will generate a $90 donation.

The food bank said the Jaycees have supported the organization and the families it serves for years.

The 74th annual rodeo runs Aug. 5-8 at the Sikeston Rodeo Grounds. Donations can also be made at semofoodbank.org/donate.
