KENTUCKY (KBSI) – Kentucky bargain hunters can explore hundreds of miles of roadside sales as the 127 Yard Sale returns Thursday.

Billed as the world’s longest yard sale, the event runs Aug. 6-9 along U.S. 127. The full route spans 690 miles from Michigan to Alabama, with a significant portion passing through Kentucky.

Sales and major vendor stops are planned in Kentucky communities including Covington, Florence, Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, Danville, Russell Springs and Albany. Larger stops feature at least 25 vendors in one location.

Shoppers can expect antiques, clothing, collectibles, handmade goods and traditional yard-sale items. Individual sales can also be found along the highway and nearby roads.

Drivers should expect increased traffic along U.S. 127 and watch for pedestrians and vehicles entering or leaving sale locations.
