Paducah celebrates 100 years of Noble Park with tree planting initiative

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — Bob Noble Park is marking its 100th anniversary in 2026 with a yearlong celebration highlighting the park’s history while encouraging future improvements.
As part of the Noble Park 100 initiative, the City of Paducah plans to plant 100 trees throughout the park to increase species diversity and preserve its landscape. Individuals, businesses and organizations can sponsor trees, with opportunities ranging from one tree for $200 to 10 trees for $2,000.
The city also has opened a Noble Park 100 gift shop inside the Parks and Recreation office at the Robert Cherry Civic Center, offering anniversary-themed apparel, posters, magnets and stickers.
The celebration officially began July 30 with an opening ceremony followed by four days of activities, including live music, movies in the park, a farmers market, arts and crafts, amusement rides and discounted admission to the Noble Park Pool.
Bob Noble Park was established in 1926 after Robert H. Noble donated $10,000 to create the park. Over the past century, it has grown to include the Noble Park Pool, amphitheater, Greenway Trail, playgrounds, pickleball courts, dog parks and other recreational amenities while remaining one of western Kentucky’s premier public parks.
