Construction begins on new Downtown Market Pavilion in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) — Construction is underway on Sikeston’s new Downtown Market Pavilion.

City officials said crews began installing posts Monday morning for the pavilion, which is being built behind the Sikeston Depot.

Once completed, the pavilion will provide a dedicated space for the Sikeston Farmers Market, city celebrations and other community events.

The project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to expand gathering spaces and support downtown activities.
