Lane restrictions begin on Route 34 in Cape Girardeau, Bollinger counties

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) — Motorists traveling on Route 34 in Cape Girardeau and Bollinger counties should expect lane restrictions as pavement improvements get underway.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Route 34 will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction between Route 72 and County Road 302 in Marble Hill while crews repair and overlay the roadway.

Weather permitting, the work will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 15, with crews on site daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use caution and expect delays while traveling through the work zone.
