MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — KY 402/Aurora Highway has reopened to traffic in Marshall County following the completion of a $7.7 million bridge replacement project.

The roadway reopened Sunday, Aug. 10, at mile point 9.9 near the Clarks River Bridge east of Hardin.

Work on the project began in June 2025 and included new approach sections as well as repairs and restoration work on the existing truss bridge, which was built in 1933.

The project is the second major bridge replacement completed in Marshall County in the past two years.

The KY 408/Eggners Ferry Road bridges along the Clarks River Wildlife Refuge reopened in June 2025 following a $9.1 million project.
