PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Crews will begin installing nearly a dozen new crosswalks in downtown Paducah on Tuesday, Aug. 18, as part of the city’s Riverfront Infrastructure Improvement Project.

The City of Paducah said drivers should expect temporary road closures lasting a few hours at each crosswalk location while crews complete the work.

Installation is expected to take two to three days, weather permitting.

The work is part of Paducah’s BUILD Grant project, which city officials said is nearing completion. A grand opening celebration for the project is planned for September.

The city has published a list of the planned crosswalk locations online.
