Sunday Night Storms, Cooler for Monday
Forecast:
Isolated severe storms cannot be ruled out late Sunday evening and into early Monday. A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) of severe weather is in place for the majority of the viewing area. Damaging winds will be the main concern in the strongest storms.

Above is what the radar may look like as we head through the overnight hours and into Monday morning, according to the latest run of StormCast.
A warm start to the work week with temperatures down to the middle and upper 70s on Monday morning.
Storms are possible after midnight in Cape Girardeau, one or two of which may linger to the morning commute.
High temperatures will be closer to average on Monday afternoon, reaching the upper 80s and lower 90s.
A mix of clouds and sun to follow Monday morning’s storm chances. A northerly wind will take over in the afternoon, likely keeping highs in the upper 80s for Cape.
Back to the middle 90s by midweek before our next storm system arrives in the Heartland. Storm chances will peak on Thursday, then taper off by the weekend, with sunshine and seasonal temperatures to follow.
