Magnitude 2.47 earthquake reported northwest of Massac, Kentucky

MASSAC, Ky., (KBSI) — A small earthquake was reported in western Kentucky late Wednesday night following a round of severe storms across the region.
The earthquake had a reported magnitude of 2.47 and occurred shortly before midnight northwest of Massac.
Earthquakes of this magnitude are generally considered minor and may be felt by some people near the epicenter but typically cause little to no damage.
No damage related to the earthquake has been reported.
