Carlisle County clerk announces retirement after 31 years of service

BARDWELL, Ky., (KBSI) — Carlisle County Clerk Becky Martin has announced she will retire after 31 years of service to the county.
Martin spent 23 years as a deputy in the Carlisle County Clerk’s Office before serving as county clerk for the past eight years.
“It has truly been an honor and privilege to serve the people of Carlisle County,” Martin said in her retirement announcement.
Martin thanked the community for its trust and said she is grateful for the friendships, memories and experiences she gained throughout her career. She said she looks forward to spending more time with her grandchildren during retirement.
Her final day as Carlisle County clerk will be Sept. 30. Martin expressed confidence that Lindsey and the office’s staff will continue serving residents with dedication and compassion.
