Man airlifted after two-vehicle crash in New Madrid County

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A Canalou man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening in New Madrid County.
The crash happened at 5:42 p.m. Sept. 7 at the intersection of Missouri Route FF and County Road 820, about 4 miles west of Matthews.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2024 Ford Ranger driven by a 40-year-old Canalou woman failed to yield to a southbound 2013 Hyundai Accent.
The Accent’s driver, a 29-year-old Canalou man, was flown by Air Evac to SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital with serious injuries.
The pickup’s driver was not injured. The patrol reported that both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by D&K.
