Three arrested after knife attack in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Three people were arrested after a person was seriously injured in a knife attack early Friday morning, according to the Carbondale Police Department.

Officers responded around 4:54 a.m. to the 400 block of South Illinois Avenue after receiving a report of an injured person.

Police said the victim was attacked by three known acquaintances during an ongoing personal dispute. One of the suspects allegedly struck the victim with a large knife.

The victim was taken to an emergency room with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police arrested:

Daveion Z. Roseman, 22, of Carbondale, on suspicion of aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a weapon and mob action.
Nadine B. Adams, 18, of Carbondale, on suspicion of unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault and mob action.
Anthony D. Fletcher, 19, of Carbondale, on suspicion of aggravated battery and mob action.

All three were taken to the Jackson County Jail pending detention hearings.
