John A. Logan College remembers longtime tutor Wayne Aydt

CARTERVILLE, Ill., (KBSI) — John A. Logan College is mourning the death of Wayne Aydt, its coordinator of tutoring services and a longtime mathematics tutor.

College officials remembered Aydt as a kind and positive educator with a strong sense of humor. They said he helped countless students overcome challenges in mathematics and made a lasting impact on students and colleagues.

“Wayne was more than a valued employee,” the college said in a statement. “He was a friend and an important part of our college community.”

The college extended its condolences to Aydt’s family, friends, colleagues and students.
