Puxico man sentenced to 22 years for domestic assault

STODDARD COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Terry L. Beck was sentenced Monday to 22 years in prison for first-degree domestic assault, according to the Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Beck repeatedly struck and choked his then-wife at their Puxico home on Sept. 6, 2025, causing serious injuries.

Presiding Judge Rob Mayer imposed the sentence after hearing statements from the victim and her family and reviewing evidence submitted by the state.

“No person should suffer such heinous domestic violence,” prosecutor Sawyer Smith said in a statement.
