Fruitland firefighters recognized for helping during Black River emergencies

FRUITLAND, Mo., (KBSI) — Two Fruitland Area Fire Protection District firefighters were recognized Monday for helping during emergencies near Annapolis last month.
On Aug. 19, off-duty firefighter Aaron Dost jumped into the Black River to assist a young girl in distress, according to the fire district.
Later that day, Aaron and his father, firefighter Neal Dost, helped local first responders during an EMS incident near K-Bridge that lasted about three hours.
Annapolis Mayor and EMS first responder Scott Oatman traveled to Fruitland on Sept. 21 to recognize both firefighters.
