Carbondale to host emergency preparedness fair Saturday

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Carbondale Crime Stoppers will host its annual Emergency Prep Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Carbondale Civic Center, 200 S. Illinois Ave.

Representatives from the city’s Office of Emergency Management, fire department and police department will take part. The free event will feature panel discussions, smaller group discussions and resources from community agencies.

The Carbondale Fire Department will also host a Senior Fair from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, focused on emergency preparedness and everyday safety for older adults.
