Saint Francis Color Dash returns to Arena Park on Oct. 3

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Saint Francis Foundation will host its eighth annual Color Dash 5K and Fun Walk on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Arena Park.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at the park’s Conservation Pavilion. People of all ages may participate individually or as part of a five-person team.

Proceeds will benefit Pink Up, a program that provides free screenings for lung, prostate, colorectal and breast cancer to people who may otherwise be unable to afford them.

“Every registration helps make potentially lifesaving cancer screenings available to people in our community who might otherwise go without,” said Katie Christian, special events development officer for the Saint Francis Foundation.

Individual registration costs $40, while team registration costs $175. Advance registration is available online through midnight Sunday, Sept. 27.

Race-day registration will be available from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Awards and medals will be presented in several individual and team categories.

Participants may pick up race packets from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, in the Wellness Conference Rooms at Fitness Plus, located at Entrance 8 of Saint Francis Medical Center.
