More than 70,000 attend 2026 SEMO District Fair

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — More than 70,000 people attended the 2026 SEMO District Fair, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Police said the fair was a successful week from a law enforcement perspective, with officers and partner agencies working throughout the event to help maintain public safety.

The department credited the SEMO District Fair Board, law enforcement agencies, fair staff and attendees for helping keep the event safe.

The annual fair brings thousands of visitors to Cape Girardeau for concerts, carnival rides, livestock shows and other attractions.
