The Cross-Eyed Bear closes effective immediately in Marion

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) – The Cross-Eyed Bear has closed effective immediately after its owners decided not to renew the restaurant’s lease.

The business announced the closure Thursday, thanking employees and customers who supported the lakefront restaurant over the years.

The Cross-Eyed Bear hosted live music, parking lot concerts, seafood boils, music bingo and other events during its operation.

While the restaurant is closing, one of its traditions will continue. The owners said Thursday crab leg nights will move to 618 Tap House, with additional details expected to be announced later.

The Cross-Eyed Bear also wished Mack’s Marina well moving forward.
