Williamson County education employee arrested on criminal sexual assault charge

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — A Williamson County Education Services employee has been arrested following an investigation into alleged inappropriate behavior involving a juvenile male, according to the Marion Police Department.

Police said officers began investigating the allegations in early September.

An arrest warrant was issued Sept. 25 for Autumn E. Watson, 37, of Marion, on a charge of criminal sexual assault.

Officers located Watson early Friday afternoon and took her into custody without incident.

She was transported to the Williamson County Jail, where she is being held pending her first court appearance.

The charge is an accusation. Watson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
