Juvenile killed, 3 adults injured in Cape Girardeau shooting

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A juvenile was killed and three adults were injured in an early morning shooting in downtown Cape Girardeau.
According to the Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad, officers were patrolling the downtown area around 2 a.m. Sept. 27 when they heard multiple gunshots in the 0-100 block of North Main Street.
Responding officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, including one juvenile and one adult.
Officers provided medical attention until EMS arrived. The juvenile was taken to an area hospital for treatment, while the adult victim was taken to a hospital by a third party.
Police said emergency room staff later notified officers that two additional adult victims had arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The juvenile was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
No arrests have been made.
The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad continues to investigate the shooting.
