Hazel man faces multiple drug charges after grand jury indictment

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Hazel man faces multiple drug charges following an investigation by Calloway County narcotics detectives.

The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office said a September grand jury indicted Donald Carson, 63, on several charges.

Carson was arrested Sept. 28 and booked into the Calloway County Detention Center.

He is charged with second-offense first-degree possession of cocaine, second-offense first-degree possession of methamphetamine, second-offense trafficking in less than 8 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana charges are Class D felonies under Kentucky law.

The charges are allegations. Carson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
