Community Counseling Center Foundation provides $116K to support behavioral health programs

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Community Counseling Center Foundation provided more than $116,000 in financial and in-kind support to behavioral health programs across Southeast Missouri during the 2025-26 fiscal year.
The foundation provided $116,515 in support to the Community Counseling Center, including $95,065 in direct financial assistance and $21,450 in in-kind donations.
Funding supported several programs and services, including residential treatment, apartments, substance use disorder treatment, street outreach, peer support, employment services and therapeutic resources.
The foundation also provides quarterly funding for therapeutic supplies used by clinicians in the center’s Substance Use Disorder Division and Outpatient Children’s Services. Those resources include therapeutic games, sensory tools and materials designed to help clients develop coping skills.
“This is a great example of what Foundation support looks like in practice,” foundation Executive Director Michelle Ramsey said. “The clinicians working directly with clients know what resources will be most useful, so we give them the opportunity to choose the tools that best support their work.”
According to the organization, the Community Counseling Center served 6,524 clients in 2025 through more than 40 programs at 31 locations across Southeast Missouri. More than 480 employees provided 255,217 hours of service during the year.
Foundation donations also support youth and independent-living resources, mental health and suicide prevention awareness efforts, community education and outreach, and creative expression programs.
The Community Counseling Center Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that raises money to support Community Counseling Center programs and services throughout its five-county Southeast Missouri service area.
